Records staff can be reached at 734-240-7415, and the county directory lists that division as open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Use the route that matches the record or custody status:
- For a county booking record or photo, start with the Monroe County arrest hub and then use Sheriff Records or county FOIA.
- For a warrant, consult the 1st District Court warrant search, the court, an attorney, or the Sheriff’s Office.
- For a very recent booking, check the official current-inmate portal and then call the inmate-information line if processing may still be underway.
- For release or transfer alerts, use Michigan VINE and verify urgent status questions with the jail.
- For either county detention building, use the single county lookup route or call Corrections rather than looking for a separate facility page.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Michigan Department of Corrections OTIS search.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the federal BOP or ICE locator instead of the county roster.
